Pre-employment screening is designed to assess an individual's medical suitability for a specific role. Our service helps employers understand any support or adjustments that may be needed to enable new employees to begin their roles safely and effectively.

The process begins with a health questionnaire, which is completed by the candidate and returned to us for review. One of our Occupational Health Clinicians will assess the responses, and where needed, follow up with a telephone consultation to explore any relevant health concerns further.

A clear and concise report will be issued to the employer within 24 hours, confirming the candidate’s fitness for the role and outlining any recommended adjustments or considerations.

If required, Mayfair Occupational Health can also carry out a baseline pre-employment health assessment. This includes a face-to-face evaluation that may cover:

• Audiometry (hearing test)
• Spirometry (lung function test)
• Musculoskeletal assessment Skin checks

These additional assessments help establish a health baseline prior to the employee starting their role.
