This service involves a detailed assessment of an employee’s workstation, followed by an evidence-based report with tailored recommendations. The goal is to support physical wellbeing, minimise discomfort, and reduce the risk of long-term musculoskeletal issues.
Our assessment includes a thorough review of the individual’s:
- Desk and chair configuration
- Use and positioning of equipment
- Lighting and screen glare
- Posture and working habits
- Overall environment and workflow
Assessments can be carried out onsite by a qualified Occupational Health Clinician or remotely via video consultation with expert guidance.
According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), employers are legally required to conduct a DSE assessment if employees use display screen equipment for an hour or more as part of their daily work. Assessments should be completed:
- When setting up a new workstation
- When a new employee starts
- When changes are made to the workstation or tasks If employees report discomfort or pain
Employers must consider not only the physical setup but also any individual needs, including accommodations for disabilities. If risks are identified, appropriate measures must be taken to reduce them.
A detailed report is issued within 24–48 hours of the assessment, outlining the required adjustments and practical recommendations. The report is shared with both the employer and the employee to ensure a safe and supportive working environment is achieved.
