OEUK & RUK Medicals
At Mayfair Occupational Health, we offer Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) and RenewableUK (RUK) medicals to ensure employees are medically fit to work in offshore and remote environments, in line with industry standards.
It is OEUK policy that all personnel working offshore must undergo periodic medical examinations and be certified as medically fit. For more information, visit www.oeuk.org.uk/doctors.
What Does an OEUK Medical Involve?
Each OEUK medical includes:
- Completion of a screening health questionnaire
- Physical examination by an Occupational Health Doctor
- Urinalysis (routine urine screening)
- Weight, height, and Body Mass Index (BMI) measurement
- Near-distance and colour vision testing
- Blood pressure and pulse check
- Audiometry (hearing test)
The medical takes approximately 45 minutes.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Please bring the following:
Photo ID
Valid photo ID (e.g. passport)
GP Details
Name, address, and contact details of your GP
Medication
Any current medication you are taking
Glasses
Glasses or contact lenses (please do not wear colour correction lenses)
Fit to Train Certificate – In-water EBS Training
We can provide the "Fit to Train" Certificate required for in-water Emergency Breathing System (EBS) training alongside your OEUK medical. Please request this when booking.
Additional Services
(by appointment and at additional cost) We can also provide the following:
- Full drug and alcohol urine screening
- Chester Step Test (a cardiovascular fitness assessment)
